I don't know why the tradition is to clean out your house in the spring. In the spring, when the weather is ideal, nobody should be indoors cleaning. But in the dead of winter, when days are dark and cold and short, the atmosphere is perfect for brewing a pot of coffee and sorting through your closets and cabinets, which is what I did today while Jack played with Rosie.
It's given me a great sense of accomplishment and contentedness.
For meatless Monday, tonight we made the same curried lentil soup that Katie and Elliott made last Monday. It was nice, hearty and warm, and we scooped it up with fresh, hot flatbreads (from the River Cottage Family Cookbook).
As for potty training, we still have miles to go, but today Rosie had only two accidents and five successes. Happy day.

Sounds like a great day! I rearranged the family room and that made me quite happy!
1. potty training sounds hard
2. I've been cleaning out stuff too - I've rearranged, reorganized, donated and painted. Winter is perfect for all the things I put off during nice weather.
