He was on his tummy, so we didn't get a good shot of his face. His arms were up by his head. His weight was estimated at 12 oz. His heartbeat was strong and everything looked healthy.

Rosie has been pretty emphatic for the last week or two that the baby in my tummy is a boy, so she wasn't surprised. Though I didn't have much of an inkling, if I'd been forced to guess, I would have guessed boy, too. Still, when the ultrasound technician told me, I felt pretty shocked. Maybe I would have felt shocked either way.
