The Gas City Mini Zoo is in a park about ten minutes from our house. Jack and Rosie have visited several times, but on Sunday afternoon all four of us went together for the first time.
(Apparently some of these animals are in possession of things, and others are merely present in plural. Hmm.)
Food pellets are sold in little bags out of an ancient vending machine, 25 cents each. However, it seems that many people are tempted to feed gum to the animals.
Perhaps the mini zoo should hire an editor.
In any case, Rosie loved feeding the animals.
I loved taking pictures of Owen's smiles and of what the wind was doing to Owen's hair.

When the animals had eaten our three bags full of pellets, we walked by the manmade lake and flew our Dr. Seuss kite. This was the very first kite-flying experience, not just for Rosie and Owen, but also for Jack! And it was just a perfectly gorgeous, knock-you-to-your-knees kind of autumn day.

I want to eat Owen for lunch! So cute.
The weather looks perfect... here, a little more spring-like than fall-like but hopefully we'll get there soon.
i love every single bit of this and can't wait to come to upland next month.
She looks a lot like Jack in the picture where she's holding the leaf.
Cutest!
Owen looks like me in the third picture of him.
Flying kites is great.
Maybe its llama's ponies, emu's swans, and alpacca's pot bellied pig. Maybe the pot bellied pig defaulted after over-leveraging its assets and was bailed out by the alpacca.
