fancy nancy

Yesterday I made Rosie a nightgown.

She'd been asking for a nightgown, and when we saw this Fancy Nancy fabric a few weeks ago, I went ahead got it for her. I guess I was so happy that the "character" she wanted on her pajamas was a book character rather than a tv character that I splurged a little. Anyway, I used (and slightly altered) this pattern, and it worked great.

Rosie loves being read to. So far, her favorite book serieses (what is the plural of series?) are
Fancy Nancy (and especially Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy, and Fancy Nancy-Bonjour Butterfly)
Henry and Mudge

Ella the Elegant Elephant

Harry the Dirty Dog

I'm pretty sure that reading Henry and Mudge as a child was the initial reason I started to like Henry as a name for my son so many years later. So be careful and don't read her Rumplestitskin or Chrysanthemum; you might end up with a grand child by that name.
My favorite of H&M (ah ha, that's a clothing store) is the rainy day one, when they play in the basement.
