So yesterday I made her some fleece slippers to wear inside the house. Cotton socks are just not enough. I made lots of fleece booties for baby gifts last year, so I used my leftover fleece. For the soles I used a leather suede skirt that I bought at the goodwill and have been using for projects. I wanted to try a new pattern, so I found this one and based Rosie's new boots on it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. (Although I might pull off those homey felt flowers and replace them with snowflakes or something, later.)
Then, this morning Rosie was playing with Daddy's hat, and giggling because it was so big that it looked funny on her. So I decided to use up some more of the fleece making her a truly funny hat. This is about the easiest thing you could sew, but there's a free pattern here if you're interested. It would probably be cuter with a patterned fleece instead of a solid.
Anyway. This is to make you laugh.

Cute slippers!
I like her little dance at the end and how she gets serious before she says baby Jesus. Maybe we should take her caroling this year in Little Rock. :)
I love that hat! And Rosie's dramatic pause before "baby Jesus sleeping in be-ed."
The booties are a great idea. We are getting hardwood floors in our house and I've been trying to figure out how we're going to prevent slippage :)
