We become official Upland library members last week. The library, next to town hall and across the street fromt the post office, is teensie, with disproportionately large "Christian fiction" and "Christian romance" sections. They do have friendly librarians, and an online catalog - so I can order books from other branches. But since I didn't have internet to access the catalog until today, and since I have a toddler who doesn't like to let me browse the books for very long at all, I grabbed what was displayed (the book pictured above) and what I know by heart (Agatha Christie, which I read but am not counting for these purposes).
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was sweet, a little predictable, but all in all an enjoyable book to read on the back porch while Rosemary pours water from one cup into another (one of her favorite pastimes). Again, it's a recommendation for my Mom.
