antibiotics

Our poor girl child has been sick for a month. She had a little cold for over three weeks, and then last week she went to play with Ezra, and came home with a bigger cold. A yellow snot coming out of the nose, then out of the eyes, and into the hair, gross kind of cold. Her eyes grew red and puffy and circled, and she started coughing through the night.

It turned out to be the ear infection kind of cold.

And so we went to visit the pretty blond resident at UW Pediatric Care (I have a soft spot in my heart for residents, especially young blond ones who remind me of Dr. Anna) and she prescribed Rosie's very first round of antibiotics.

My body is tired from fighting the colds too! And from waking up when Rosie coughs. And from trouble settling down at night because so much is still up in the air.

But tonight we have LOST, and cabernet, and stove popped popcorn, and these coffee-chocolate-chip bars that PW reviewed today (and yes, I had dinner too. I need to keep up my strength. I do.).

She looks so pitiful, I think I will go to the market and buy her some things! Thanks for the shout out. Kisses.

yellow snot is gross and I'm glad I don't have it coming out of my eyeballs, but I do feel bad for poor Rosie.

Also, totally forgot about the "market to buy things" reference. "I have never seen this door before."
