baby feet

Packing summer clothes up to the attic, and sorting through my too-many wool sweaters for the winter. When the dresser's bottom drawer is empty of one season and waiting for the next, I notice the paper lining the drawer.

Can you see it? It has pastel baby footprints.
This sheet of paper has been laying in my dresser drawer for approximately as long as I have been alive. Twenty-eight years ago, my mom measured and cut the paper, and lined a drawer for her baby girl. One of the hundreds of simple acts of love that still touch my life today.

(Awwwwww.)

That really did make me say AW!! By the way, Katie played me the song "Are You a Dreamer?" by Denison Witmer and told me you walked down the aisle to it. And now I'm obsessed with it! It's so beautiful.
