When I have to get up for work earlier than Jack does,
he doesn't stay in bed.
He gets up with me,
and while I get dressed,
he goes downstairs and makes coffee for me.
That is love.
And he surprised me with a copy of Marilynne Robinson's new book this week.
That is affection.
