How many times do I think of my mother before 11 am?
1 - When I wake up too early and can't go back to sleep. Where'd I learn that, huh?
2 - When I roll out biscuits for breakfast, the same way she taught me to do it the very first time, and I think about that, and I think about the fact that these days she usually makes scones instead of biscuits or muffins.
3 - When I get dressed, and remember her teaching me how to put on tights: Scrunch the leg up onto your two thumbs before you even put your foot inside. (She would never wear these bright yellow tights, though.)
4 - When I listen to the John Piper message from the conference she attended a few weeks ago. "True Womanhood." Exactly.
5 - When I put the sheets on the bed, tucking the corners in the way she taught me to. Six or seven years from now, I'll be teaching my daughter the same thing.
And that's just the beginning. How would I run this household of ten if she hadn't taught me?

Well, I usually don't have problem number 1, and no one ever taught me to make biscuits! but, I am with you on the tights and sheets.
Whenever I watch movies I am reminded of Dad and his media-filtering prowess. I always think something like, "Hmm, what kind of worldview are these characters living out?" or "Is that character a Christ figure?"
