Grams told me yesterday that according to the weather map in the newspaper, Seattle is forty degrees cooler than Tulsa. We looked at a weather map too, and found that there is no place in the USA other than Alaska where the weather is as cool as it is in Seattle right now. This is great for now, sunny and seventy, but i'm thinking fur-lined boots will be in order in a couple of months...
We are home. And we are on the way to recovery from jet lag. Hannah and Luke have been graciously lending us their guest bedroom for the last week. Over the weekend we unloaded all our belongings into the new house, but there's not room enough for us to unpack and nest yet. We'll be on the ISI staff retreat for most of this week, and then on Friday we should be able to move in for real.
"Kill you to steal some milk by new skills." This was the motto of our second youngest class at English Camp. Their name was the Pirates. This may or may not help explain the origin of the cheer. Hopefully, their new English skills have not actually enabled them to kill for milk's sake.
During our final days in Vietnam, we visited an amusement park with my class, had dinner at a student's house, and celebrated Vietnamese Culture NIght.
(I have pictures of these things, but they are taking too long to load. Another day.)
